Orlando Science Center's Rock N' Roll Laser Light Shows Return
Every Saturday Night, June 12 - August 21
Tickets are $13 and include admission to exhibits and observatory
Orlando, FL - (June 7, 2010) - Are You Experienced? If you’ve got the Money to have a Wonderful Tonight, then the Orlando Science Center has your dose of that Old Time Rock and Roll. Light and sound will merge for an unforgettable rock n roll experience as laser light shows return for a limited engagement this summer. Featuring a lineup of rockin’ tunes backed by 28,000 watts of stereo sound and laser effects, these shows will blast through the Science Center’s Dr. Phillips CineDome every Saturday night until August 21.
Experience legendary sounds with a full color laser show from LightWave International. This year, the lineup includes two new shows: an 80’s mix featuring hits by Guns N Roses, U2 and Michael Jackson and a classic rock compilation with songs by Bob Seger, Queen, and The Doors. The schedule is rounded out by a Beatles laser show and the return of perennial favorite Pink Floyd with the iconic Dark Side of the Moon.
If you want to experience this one-of-a-kind rock fest, the Science Center will be happy to oblige with tickets on sale for just $13 for adults and $8 for kids (ages 3-11). Tickets get you into one of the four shows (80’s Flashback at 7:00 p.m., Classic Rock A Go Go at 8:00 p.m., The Beatles at 9:00 p.m. or Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon at 10:00 p.m.). See two consecutive shows for a modest up charge. There is also a family-friendly laser show at 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
Laser show admission also includes access to all the Science Center’s exhibits and a visit to the Crosby Observatory, where you can rock out with some real stars (rather than just the ones with attitude and electric guitars!). The Science Center is extending its hours until 10 p.m. on Saturday nights during the run of the laser light shows for guests to take full advantage of the laser shows, the observatory and exhibits like Frogs, DinoDigs and the health and wellness trio of Diabetes: A Deeper Look, Careers for Life, and If a Starfish Can Grow a New Arm...Why Can't I? Please note that there will only be one laser show on Saturday, June 19 due to the film premiere of The Ultimate Wave Tahiti during Cocktails and Cosmos.
This summer, relive the excitement or make new memories with your classic rock favorites! When you enter the world of the Science Center’s signature laser light shows, you’ll Turn up the Radio and see why Video Killed the Radio Star. You’ll Paint it Black with the Stones while the Beatles bring in the Sun. You’ll journey Across the Universe after A Hard Day’s Night and see something that’ll make you Twist and Shout.
