As a Catalyst Youth Volunteer, you have the opportunity to work closely with children and families to create a fun learning environment.
Orlando Science Center’s Catalyst Youth Volunteer Program operates year-round, and many of our volunteers return year after year. Volunteering at Orlando Science Center satisfies most middle school and high school community service requirements, and your dedication will make a difference in our community!
Volunteering at Orlando Science Center will help you build skills and create opportunities to continue learning and growing. Current Catalyst Youth Volunteers have priority over new applicants to continue into upcoming seasons and progress through multiple tiers of service.
The Catalyst Youth Volunteer Program is highly competitive and requires a complete online application (including essay response) and a letter of recommendation to be considered for a group interview. Due to the limited volunteer positions available, Orlando Science Center may not invite all applicants to an interview, and not all interviewees will be selected for a team.
Applications for the Catalyst Youth Volunteer Program open twice a year for the Summer Season and School Year Season.

For new applicants interested in volunteering during the School Year, please check back again to this page for more information. When applications open, youth ages 13 to 17 years old (18 years old if still in high school) are encouraged to apply.
