Catalyst Youth Volunteers

As a Catalyst Youth Volunteer, you have the opportunity to work closely with children and families to create a fun learning environment.

Orlando Science Center’s Catalyst Youth Volunteer Program operates year-round, and many of our volunteers return year after year. Volunteering at Orlando Science Center satisfies most middle school and high school community service requirements, and your dedication will make a difference in our community!

Applications for school year volunteering are open during the months before each Spring and Fall school semester. Orlando Science Center is looking for teenagers between the ages of 13-17 (or 18 if still in high school) to support us in our mission to inspire science learning for life.

During the school year, first time applicants are considered for the Youth Event & Exhibit Hall Team. The Youth Event & Exhibit Hall Team facilitates unique learning experiences in our exhibit halls through hands-on activities and helps guide our guests during special events throughout the school year.

Volunteering at Orlando Science Center will help you build skills and create opportunities to continue learning and growing. Exceptional Catalyst Youth Volunteers will be invited to progress through multiple tiers of service, including the Youth Visitor Experience Team, Youth NatureWorks Team, and Youth Hive Team.
