Catalyst Youth Volunteers

As a Catalyst Youth Volunteer, you have the opportunity to work closely with children and families to create a fun learning environment.

Orlando Science Center’s Catalyst Youth Volunteer Program operates year-round, and many of our volunteers return year after year. Volunteering at Orlando Science Center satisfies most middle school and high school community service requirements, and your dedication will make a difference in our community!

Orlando Science Center is looking for high school students, ages 13–18 to support us in our mission to inspire science learning for life.

During the summer, applicants are considered for either the Youth Visitor Experience Team or the Youth Summer Camp Team. The Visitor Experience Team facilitates unique learning experiences in our exhibit halls through hands-on activities, serve and perform scientific demonstrations for visitors and facilitating educational games. The Youth Summer Camp Team helps monitor campers and facilitate classroom activities as either Junior Counselors or Junior Runners.

Volunteering at Orlando Science Center will help you build skills and create opportunities to continue learning and growing. Exceptional Catalyst Youth Volunteers who are interested in continuing their volunteer service during the school year will be invited to progress through multiple tiers of service, including the Youth Visitor Experience Team, Youth NatureWorks Team, and Youth Hive Team.
