Join local 13-year-old author and illustrator Sumer Strawbree, as seen on The Kelly Clarkson Show, local FOX35, News 2, 6, 9, and 13! She will be doing an exclusive reading of her children’s picture book about how she was bullied in elementary school and overcame it by being introduced to positive affirmations. Sumer Strawbree’s new unreleased children’s picture book, “Black, Brown, Beautiful, Bullied” has a lesson about taking a negative school experience and turning it into a positive one. Following storytime, enjoy a Q&A with the teen author, a fun affirmations activity, and a meet-and-greet with Sumer Strawbree! Recommended for ages 5+. This program is included with admission, but is limited capacity. Please pick up a ticket at the entrance to KidsTown Studio 15 minutes before the program start time to reserve your spot.
