Meet Two Engineers Working on Boeing's CST-100 Starliner — Set To Launch This Year

Learn about the return of human spaceflight launch capabilities to Florida’s Space Coast on Boeing’s CST-100 Starliner. Hear from Melanie Weber (pictured right) and Louis Atchison (pictured left), two remarkable engineers who not only helped design this 21st-century spacecraft but plan to launch it later this year – with astronauts aboard.

Discover new challenges in the launch and recovery operations of cutting-edge systems, and gain a unique perspective from the individuals who will be the last to see the astronauts before they launch into space and the first to welcome them safely back to Earth.

Catch these two only at Science Night Live on March 2!

 Starliner Space Launch Simulation

The countdown to launch is on! Follow the path of future Starliner astronauts from Kennedy Space Center. Climb aboard the Starliner spacecraft and get ready to lift off atop the powerful United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket for your journey to the International Space Station.

This experience is only available at Science Night Live on March 2! Stop by the Boeing table and get your hands on a pair of 360 VR goggles to experience an out-of-this-world virtual trip of a lifetime.

Main event parking is located at Orlando Science Center Garage on Princeton Street. Parking is free and on a first come, first served basis. To find authorized overflow parking locations, please download the Guest Overflow Parking Map closer to the event.
