Science Night Live - A 21+ Event

Live from Orlando, it’s Science Night Live!

Enjoy everything you love about the Science Center–without the kids! Special  programming is designed just for adults.


Do you have an appetite for knowledge? This Science Night Live, feed your mind! Join us and learn more about keeping yourself, as well as the planet healthy! 


From coffee to kombucha, learn the science behind some of your favorite beverages. What do we know about the food of Pompeii and Imperial Rome? What did they eat, how did they eat it, and what can we take from that inspiration and go Ancient Roman wild? Joseph Hayes will be serving up some history!  


Featuring a new theme each time, no two Science Night Live events are the same. Bring your friends, or make a date night of it, and unleash your inner child at this unique experience that proves there’s no age limit on curiosity.

Limited tickets are available for just $16 and usually sell out online in advance so purchase yours today!

Orlando Science Center Members receive complimentary admission but must reserve their tickets in advance. Please log in as a member to reserve your tickets at 

Main event parking is located at Orlando Science Center Garage on Princeton Street. Parking is free and on a first come, first served basis.

From the Orlando Science Center parking garage, cross pedestrian bridge on Level 2 into the Science Center lobby. An alternative entrance if parking off-site is through the bus Entrance A on Camden Road.


Ride Share drop-off and pick-up is only approved at Entrance A on Camden Road.

Limited tickets are available online only* for this event and will be emailed directly to you shortly after you complete your purchase. Tickets can be printed out or scanned directly from your mobile device.


When purchasing for multiple guests, please be sure that each person receives a unique ticket as barcodes will only work once.


If the event sells out, it will be communicated on this webpage and on the OSC Facebook page. Tickets will NOT be available at the door and Orlando Science Center cautions against purchasing resold tickets and cannot guarantee entry with them.


*Tickets for Florida Teachers and guests qualified Science For All admission must be reserved or purchased in person prior to event date.

If you have purchased your tickets more than 48 hours in advance, the program will be emailed to you before the event so you can see the schedule of all programming throughout the evening. Be sure to pick one up when you enter the Science Center too!

Food partners will have light bites and adult beverages available for purchase. Sip beer, wine or cocktails and enjoy small-plate edibles while you listen to music and get your geek on. We recommend purchasing with cash to reduce wait time and lines.

Each Science Night Live our guests have the chance to hear from some of the greatest minds around! 


Water, Wetlands and Wildlife – Where You Fit In!

The City of Orlando has an innovative method of dealing with wastewater.  The Orlando Wetlands Park is one of the world’s foremost wetland treatment systems.  Mark Sees, a wetland ecologist, will share how this innovative Park uses science-based solutions to remove pollutants from water while serving to protect central Florida’s water environment.  The wildlife of the Wetlands will be highlighted and discussed along with some live specimens. 




Illustrating how food held a central position in the culture, Pompeii's Table creator Joseph Hayes shares recreations of 1st Century Pompeiian bread, wine via Digress Wines, and samples of olive oil, cheeses and the pungent sauce called garum that accompanied the legions around the empire. 



Step into The Hive: A Makerspace and walk out with a new sense of creativity. Whether you're making friendship bracelets or recycled costumes – you and your friends will create lasting memories during Science Night Live Workshops.


Make your way to Dr. Dare's Lab to brew up some science with Barnie's Cupping Corner! See how your favorite morning beverage goes from coffee bean to a cup of coffee, learn about coffee density, bean defects, and more! 


Living Kombucha 

Learn about to the art of Kombucha fermentation, where Daniel Koenigkann will demonstrate how easy

it is to brew Kombucha! Learn about its benefits and how they organically grew their business. The demonstration will end with a Q&A and delicious tasting of their most popular flavors.


There’s been a theft! Someone has stolen cookies, now it’s up to you to help find the culprit. Learn forensics skills as you unravel the mystery at the scene of the crime. Don't miss live stage show The Incredible Cookie Caper!


Whether it's the interactive Science Live! Show, competitive Science Trivia, or looking to the stars on the terrace, our staff prepares unique and exciting programs for your to enjoy during Science Night Live.

Explore the science center without the kids! From DinoDigs to our traveling exhibit, there's no age limit on fun and curiosity!


Do you have what it takes to be a spy? Rappel into the world of spies with our newest traveling exhibit hall, Top Secret: License to Spy! Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to solve the Quantum Computer crime and save the day in this escape room-esque interactive exhibit.
