Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, get ready to discover, connect, and take action! Orlando Science Center offers troops hands-on STEM adventures designed to turn curiosity into skills and badges for Daisies through Juniors and Lions through Arrow of Lights!
Each session combines teamwork, problem-solving, and lots of experimentation. Troops can participate in open scouting days, or you can book a specific experience for your troop. STEM Scouting Adventures include:
- STEM Focused Discovery Labs geared towards earning badge requirements for Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts.
- Two slices of pizza provided for lunch, per person.
- Guided exploration of OSC exhibits which helps Scouts work towards badge completion.

STEM Scouting Adventures are 4-hour programs. Guests can purchase an extended day for an additional $4 per person to explore the Science Center after the program ends.

SpeedScout Lab
Turn your troop into a pit crew! Design, build and test mini race cars while exploring forces, friction, and how shape affects speed.

Scout Sleuths: Forensic Files
Think like an investigator and use evidence to solve a scientific mystery using skills like blood typing and ink sampling.
Designed for: Juniors, Webelos, Arrow of Light
Program runs 10:00am – 2:00pm
Discovery Lab + Guided Exhibit Exploration + 2 slices of pizza – $24 per person
Member adults are free to attend. Proof of current membership required.
Private STEM Scouting Adventures require a minimum of 20 total attendees and a 20% deposit paid within two weeks of booking.
Public STEM Scouting Adventures
Great for individual families and meeting other troops/packs! All Scouts and adults will register individually for a pre-selected date/program.

Want to book an adventure with your whole troop/pack? Private adventures allow you to choose a custom date and program that works best for all of your Scouts!
Our labs are designed to provide hands-on experiences that may satisfy portions of applicable Girl Scout and Cub Scout badge requirements.
Scouts should confirm requirements with their troop/pack leader where applicable.
Cancellation Policy
A cancellation fee equal to the non-refundable deposit amount will be applied to all groups requesting cancellation after the signed Client Agreement has been submitted to Orlando Science Center.
All cancellations made more than two weeks from the scheduled STEM Scout Adventure date will receive a refund of collected monies minus the cancellation fee. No-shows and cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the STEM Scout Adventure date will forfeit their refund.
