Performances Bring Tech to Life at Otronicon

Otronicon Live Shows Will Make Your Hair Stand Straight Up!

Prepare to be mesmerized by dazzling live shows and events occurring throughout the entire weekend of Otronicon! In addition to the dozens of exhibitors with cutting-edge technology to experience, Orlando Science Center will be hosting spectacles like none other. Discover technology that boggles the senses and learn directly from one of the most influential leaders in the gaming industry today.

Viscerality, presented by artist Synthestruct, is an exploration of cutting-edge methods for creating visual spaces and soundscapes for real-time interactive performance. Using the sensor-enabled Mi.Mu Gloves, the artist can completely step away from the computer and conduct an extraordinary display of audio and visuals just through the movement of her hands. This personalized performance guarantees a unique and thrilling experience at every single show.

At the Tesla Coil Show*, discover how a Tesla coil can be transformed into a musical instrument. Invented by Nicola Tesla in 1891, the Tesla coil revolutionized the status quo of electricity generation put forth by Thomas Edison. This live show explores the science of electricity and celebrates the innovative mind of Nikola Tesla and his Tesla coil.  Explore the different types of electricity and delve into the history of the “current wars” between Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison.  You won’t want to miss this electrifying experience!

*Please note that this presentation contains loud noises and flashing lights. This may not be suitable for all audiences.
