Discover How The Military Relies On Cutting Edge Technology and People in STEM Careers

The military has driven some of the most recognizable technological advances in the world. The Internet, radar tracking, and EpiPens would not exist today without their military origins. From cutting-edge flight simulators to engineering practices, Otronicon is pleased to offer unprecedented access to innovative technology from the military, produced right in Central Florida. This is a thrilling opportunity to see and use technology that is far beyond the everyday consumer market.


Here’s what you can expect from some of the presenters during Otronicon, January 18 – 21, 2019!

Military Exhibitors

  1. Lockheed Martin - Experience a fully immersive Mixed Reality STEM simulator, four cockpit STEM simulators, and six desktop STEM simulators. All of these simulators are networked together in a persistent scenario where participants of all ages can engage with each other, for an exciting and collaborative experience.
  2. Mind Immersions/Talon Simulations - Engage in the Virtual Reality Arcade Simulator and experience full motion VR experiences. Guests can drive in the INDY 500 and experience what it feels like to hit the corner at 200 MPH. Rollercoaster enthusiasts will be amazed by the four VR rollercoaster experiences, complete with wind effects.
  3. Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) - Dive into the Virtual Interactive Shipboard Instructional Tour 3D™ (VISIT 3D™) and experience what it is really like to be in the lower level of a submarine. This photo-realistic computer simulation will dazzle anyone that has wondered what it feels like to be under the sea.
  4. Program Manager Training Systems (PM TRASYS) - The Deployable Virtual Training Environment (DVTE) is an immersive, simulation-based training system capable of emulating and simulating a wide variety of training scenarios and generating hi-fidelity, relevant terrain databases. It also provides small-unit echelons with the opportunity to continuously review and rehearse Command and Control procedures.

 

For those with a continued interest in aerospace technology, Orlando Science Center will be featuring Above and Beyond presented by Boeing from February 2 through May 12. Discover the latest technology in flight expedition in this immersive, limited-time exhibit.
