The Smithsonian And Synesthesia Take The Stage At Science Night Live on August 17!

SHARE

Science Night Live, Orlando Science Center’s unique adults’ night out, is back! Guests 21 and up are invited to enjoy an evening of hands-on workshops, prehistoric experiments, and a guest speaker all the way from the Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of Natural History. Plus, learn about Synesthesia, and why some people hear color or taste sound from a neuropsychologist and two synesthetes!

Orlando Science Center is thrilled to host Amy Bolton, Lead Educator for Deep Time at The Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History. Amy will share how her experience in working with paleontologists has helped her turn complex scientific concepts into accessible and engaging learning moments for guests of The Smithsonian.

We will also be hosting a panel discussion on synesthesia. Hear from a neuropsychologist and two synesthetes about this extraordinary neurological phenomenon in which two or more of the senses intertwine... and discover if you might be a synesthete too! The engaging panel will also feature the work of artist and synesthete Christina Eve whose artwork will be on display in the Fusion STEAM gallery showing of Seeing Sounds and Painting Music! This event has been known to sell out, so don't wait – purchase your $16 ticket today!
