Indulge in Orlando Science Center’s Social Transformation

Next Event: September 8, 8:00 - 11:00 p.m., 18+ Welcome

It’s the Orlando Science Center just for adults during Cocktails & Cosmos! Everything you love about the Science Center including exhibits, giant screen films, live science challenges and demonstrations will be on tap including a cash bar and live music. The event is high energy, hands-on and of course, educational.

Join us as we premiere the giant screen film Space Junk. Discover how what goes up doesn’t always come down as you learn how orbital debris – or space junk – threatens our planet’s orbits.

Following the film, enjoy a presentation from former NASA astronaut Bob Springer. Springer was a Mission Specialist aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery in 1989 and Space Shuttle Atlantis in 1990, as well as director of the International Space Station while working for The Boeing Company.

In addition, peer through the 10-inch refractor telescope of the Crosby Observatory – one of the largest publicly accessible of its kind in Florida – to see moons, planets and deep sky objects such as galaxies, nebulas and more.

Enjoy cocktails and mixed drinks at the cash bar courtesy of Big City Catering, as DJ Christian Deleon from Metropolis Productions rocks it out with tunes from the 80's and 90's; and sit back and chill in style in the Dino lounge thanks to Chic! Event Furniture!

Admission

General admission for the event is $13.00 per person, and Free for Orlando Science Center members, 18+ welcome.
