For the first time, Orlando Science Center is hosting a World Oceans Day celebration presented by SeaWorld! Family, friends and community will come together at OSC to honor our shared oceans. Guests can look forward to special educational experiences in our NatureWorks exhibit, like have reef restoration activities, Seafood Watch activities, live demos and more. Community partners will also be on-site to educate guests about ocean conservation. Keep an eye out for a recycled marine debris art display and demos going on throughout the building!
Plus, enjoy special screenings of ocean-themed educational films in the Dr. Phillips CineDome, like “Chasing Coral,” “Dolphins,” and more! Films will be shown on Friday, June 8 and Saturday, June 9. For full list of showtimes, view our theater schedule.
What is World Oceans Day?
On World Oceans Day, everyone is invited to celebrate the ocean. It’s an opportunity to learn how to protect, nurture and conserve our shared oceans. Think about what the ocean means to you! It’s critical for all of us to be aware of the impact we make on the world around us. People are inspired to create a better future and ensure the ocean is healthy for future generations.
