Superhero Week

By OSC on June 4, 2018 in What's New

June 14-17, 2018
11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Orlando Science Center is turning beloved KidsTown into a superhero metropolis for Superhero Week! Throughout the week, children are invited to come and learn what it takes to be an everyday superhero at home and in the community.

During this special themed event, little learners can participate in many events that allow them to discover their own superpowers and those held by community heroes. They’ll be able to participate in a variety of events in New KidsTown, including:

  • Discover your superpowers in our Superpower Exploration Station
  • Tackle the obstacle course at Superhero Training Camp
  • Participate in the Superhero Olympics
  • Become part of the show with “Save the City,” an interactive experience in Harriett’s KidsTown Theatre

The fun continues even outside of KidsTown, with OSC’s summer traveling exhibit Hall of Heroes, plus the “Super Science” live show in the Digital Adventure Theater.

You are strongly encouraged to come dressed as your favorite hero!

Special Activities on Saturday, June 16

Visit on Saturday during Superhero Week for even more super fun!

Athena Finger, granddaughter of Batman co-creator Bill Finger, will host a Q&A at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16 at OSC. She’ll stay here until about 4 p.m. to sign artwork and answer questions about “Batman and Bill,” a documentary currently streaming on Hulu about her grandfather. Athena is also an artist and will be displaying her comic book artwork.

On Saturday afternoon, you’ll also have a chance to meet Dorian Alberti, who created his own Iron Man suit from steel, fiberglass plating and other materials. He’ll wear it for photos with OSC guests.

Plus, meet some of your favorite costumed heroes like Aqua Man, The Flash and others, right here at OSC on Saturday!

All Superhero Week activities are included with general admission to Orlando Science Center. Enjoy four floors of interactive exhibit halls, giant-screen films, live programming and more! For more information, RSVP to the Facebook event.
