Otronicon v.11 started with a bang at the VIP Reception. The event, presented by PNC Bank, featured opening remarks by Science Center President & CEO JoAnn Newman; City of Orlando Commissioner Robert Stuart; and PNC Bank Senior Vice President Joe Vetter.
Otronicon aims to spark interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers through the appeal of simulation, interactive technology, video games, and virtual reality. Otronicon promotes the innovation that is happening in our own backyard by providing unprecedented access to the creative professionals and technology that calls Central Florida home. Orlando is one of the largest digital media and simulation clusters in the country, which includes more than 1,200 companies, 30,000 creative specialists and estimated annual revenue of $9 billion.
