Ages 3-5 years

These 60-minute workshops are designed for children 3-5 years with an accompanying adult. We will actively explore diverse topics in science through hands-on science activities, experiments, songs, movement and more.

Come join us in this unique opportunity for you and your preschooler to learn and grow together as you explore the wonders of the science world!

Did you know some inventions happened by accident? Or some places were discovered by chance? Come along and meet a variety of inventors and explorers who all created or discovered things that help make our lives better!

 

Science with Dr. Seuss

Thursdays: 2/22, 3/1, 3/8
One book, two books, three books galore! Come along and explore the science behind three popular Dr. Seuss books – “Horton Hears a Who,” “Bartholomew and the Oobleck,” and “The Lorax.”

 

Adventures in Story Time: Pete the Cat

Thursdays: 3/29, 4/5, 4/12
Pete the Cat is one cool dude because he uses science to explore his world and help his friends! Come explore the science behind why Pete’s shoes change colors, why his magic sunglasses make everyone happy, and why his buttons are so groovy!

 

Our Place in Space

Thursdays: 4/26, 5/3, 5/10
Come along and investigate our home planet – Earth! Discover how the Earth’s rotation on its axis causes day and night, conduct experiments exploring what the Earth is made of, and learn what we need to do to take care of our planet.
