Traveling Exhibit

Now Open on Level 2

Explore the science of sports. Composed of a series of hands-on challenges, Sportsology allows visitors to test their athletic abilities while learning how their bodies work. Discover the speed and physics of your fast ball, whether you can jump as high as a pro basketball player and even your reaction time.

A variety of exhibits will help visitors explore different kinds of athletic abilities including strength, speed, endurance, balance, coordination and agility.

Hang Time: Grab onto a bar and test your endurance!

Get a Grip: A true strength test — how strong is that firm handshake?

Action Reaction: Can you be a great soccer goalie? Test your reaction time.

Vertical Leap: Compare how high you can jump compared to three professional basketball players.

Fast Ball: Throw the ball at a target and see just how fast you can pitch.

Wheel Chair Racers: Race a friend and find out how fast you can go just using your arms.

Flex-Ability: Learn how much stretch you really have.

Orlando Health and Orlando City Soccer Scores a Goal for Science

On Saturday, June 21, Orlando City Soccer Club’s Carl Woszczynski and the street team were at Orlando Science Center to “kick” in the official first day of summer with giveaways and an inflatable goal to take shots at. Orlando City presenting sponsor Orlando Health doctors were also in the building to engage with guests.
