Curiosity was at an all-time high at Saturday’s member preview for the new traveling exhibition "Curious George: Let’s get Curious!" Member families enjoyed stepping into a storybook rocket ship, building blocks in the architect corner, playing miniature golf, sorting through produce and getting comfy in the story corner. Members also enjoyed a wild visit from the Central Florida Zoo, where they got an up-close-and-personal encounter with George’s animal friends.
Members can enjoy the exhibition free with their membership now through end of summer 2014. Not a member yet? Click here to join now.
Storytime with Musical Twist Expert storyteller Madeline Potts joined us Monday, April 14 for an hour of interactive story time at Member Monday. With a banjo in hand, Madeline led the group in an interactive song experience where members could contribute to each of the stories. To get their creative juices going, the children made paper butterflies and colored sheets of paper to include in their springtime photo albums.
We invite you to our next Member Monday on May, 12 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. when we go back to pre-historic times and learn about dinosaurs. Discover when these creatures roamed the earth and check out fossils while participating in hands-on activities.

Spring has sprung at the Science Center and was well apparent at Member Monday on March 10. Members celebrated the new season by pressing real flower scraps on wax paper to create colorful stained-glass window crafts. They also learned about the evolution of butterflies and creepy crawlers in a presentation by our very own NatureWorks staff.
We invite you to learn more about the spring season in an interactive, family storytelling adventure on Monday, April 14 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Madeline Potts, longtime storyteller, is back by popular demand to take you on a musical journey all ages will enjoy. For more information, call 407.514.2158. Learn more at Madeline's website.
Also, Nemours Brightstart! will offer FREE reading readiness screenings for three, four and five-year-olds during Member Monday.
