Many of the grape varieties commonly used in winemaking are crosses, clones, mutations, and hybrids, but what’s the difference? Learn about how grape varieties are genealogically categorized and the story behind South Africa’s own signature variety, Pinotage. Guests will be able to sample the Fleur Du Cap 2018 South African Pinotage.

Hailing from South Africa, where his family has been producing wine for four generations, Dr. Back’s professional experience includes wine and beer production, sales, marketing, brand management, and education.
