Bat Feeding (11:00 am)
Watch our furry, flying friends eat brunch while learning about their background.

Save The Candy Cane (11:00 am)
The Science Center invites you to another engineering design challenge. You must design a structure that will save a candy cane from certain destruction, (or at least mild discomfort). The Science Center provides the building materials and candy canes, you provide the brains. And remember, teams are encouraged!

Open Lab Experiments (11:30 am)
This is where you get to be the scientist! Dr. Dare's Lab will have a different experiment at each computer station, along with directions and materials, so that you can complete the experiment on your own. A lab technician will be available for questions. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

No Place Like Space (12:00 - noon)
Follow the Cat in the Hat through the Solar System as we read Dr. Seuss’s book There’s No Place Like Space. Each time we visit a new planet in the book, we’ll see it projected on the Science on a Sphere.

Bat Enrichment (1:00 pm)
Bats are intelligent animals, and as such need changing environments to keep them occupied.  During this program, the staff change the bat’s living quarters and you get to watch the bats’ reaction to the fun and interesting objects or smells that have been added.

Dino Safari (1:00 pm)
Follow an OSC guide as you learn about the amazing, ancient animals that walked the Earth millions of years ago.

Swamp Talk (2:15 pm)
Learn about the animals in our Cypress swamp and even get a chance to meet one of them! A staff member will be in the enclosure with the animals and talking about how they interact with each other . You'll learn about native and invasive species, as well as how some animals help our Florida ecosystems.

Guided Planet Tour (2:30 pm)
Take a tour of our Solar System without ever leaving the Earth! An OSC guided can transform the Science on a Sphere into any planet in the Solar System and tell you all about it.

Dino Safari (3:00 pm)
Follow an OSC guide as you learn about the amazing, ancient animals that walked the Earth millions of years ago.
