Your Gift Truly Makes a Difference

Your generosity enables the Orlando Science Center to educate and inspire.  We bring families together in an environment that encourages learning. The Orlando Science Center is the highest attended cultural venue in the region averaging 300,000 guests per year. Over 70,000 students annually experience on and off-site STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) based educational initiatives. The Science Center is a proven educational community resource that provides hands on interactive learning experiences.

Admissions and memberships provide about 65 cents of every dollar needed;
Government appropriations provide about 16 cents of every dollar needed:

  • To provide access to the Orlando Science Center at a reasonable admission price.
  • To ensure all families have access to the Science Center regardless of ability to pay.
  • To bring and maintain state of the art exhibits at the Science Center.

The rest is up to the generosity of supporters, like you!

Please make a gift to the Orlando Science Center today. There are a variety of ways that you can be part of the mission to inspire science learning for life.

Welcome to our new neighbors, The PRISM Project (Promoting Regional Improvement in Science and Math)!

The Orlando Science Center and The PRISM Project have similar values and ideals. With a mission to “inspire science learning for life,” the Science Center is dedicated to engaging the community in learning experiences that inspire people to build their critical thinking skills for a lifetime of reward. PRISM recognizes that the global economic competitiveness in the 21st century is built upon a strong foundation in math and science, and as such, their mission is to provide dynamic and supportive leadership to Central Florida’s school districts, strive to enhance teaching and learning in K-12 science and math, and promote related business development, career opportunities, and quality of life for children and youth.

The Orlando Science Center is providing office space at no cost to PRISM in an effort to help grow the PRISM program and further the regional STEM agenda.

Ryan Miller was an avid volunteer for the Orlando Science Center between the ages of fifteen and eighteen. Throughout his years volunteering, he cared for animals of all shapes and sizes including, tarantulas, snakes and baby gators. He also maintained the animal’s habitats and educated youth about the creatures and their unique attributes.

Ryan Miller “learned responsibility and respect” throughout his time at the Orlando Science Center, which in turn “taught [him] maturity and the importance of nurturing living things.” His knowledge naturally shifted over when he went into military service, within the U.S. Navy, and went from fostering living things to human beings. Ryan is now stationed in Japan and has been involved in humanitarian missions in the East including this one in Cambodia (picture).
He owes much of his successes and accomplishments to the people at the Orlando Science Center. Ryan Miller even stated, “I still have my name tag from the Orlando Science Center as a memento of a great time in my life.”
