Storytime (10:30 am)
Curl up in KidsTown with a good book! Science Center staff bring a book and corresponding craft to KidsTown. We read the book and complete a craft together, talking about elements of the story as we go along. Depending on the nature of the craft, StoryTime may happen under the Story Tree or at the blue craft tables. Story books are changed out every other week. Craft time works best when children bring an adult.

No Place Like Space (12:00 - noon)
Follow the Cat in the Hat through the solar system as we read Dr. Seuss’s book No Place Like Space. Each time we visit a new planet in the book, we’ll see it projected on the Science on a Sphere.

Dino Safari (1:00 pm)
Follow an OSC guide as you learn about the amazing, ancient animals that walked the Earth millions of years ago.

Space Base (2:00 pm)
Explore the surface of Mars using an amazing combination of virtual reality software and hardware. A head mounted display shows you actual surface features of Mars while the Virtusphere allows you to move around in the virtual landscape. In essence, you are the first person to walk on Mars! This ticketed experience is free with admission; simply sign up at the Base Command on level 4.  Guests wishing to participate in this experience must meet the following requirements:

·         Must be 8 years or older

·         Must weigh between 60lbs and 250 lbs.

·         Must be 52 inches or taller.

·         Must be able to follow verbal directions.

Swamp Talk (2:15 pm)
Come see Orlando Science Center’s swamp inhabitants, learn about their habitat and habits while they have lunch. You may even get to meet one up close and personal!

Guided Planet Tour (2:30 pm)
Take a tour of our Solar System without ever leaving the Earth! An OSC guide will transform the Science on a Sphere into any planet in the Solar System and tell you all about it.

Dr. Dare's Lab Open Lab Experiments (11:30 am)
This is where you get to be the scientist! Dr. Dare's Lab will have a different experiment at each computer station, along with directions and materials, so that you can complete the experiment on your own. A lab technician will be available for questions. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
