Animalopolis (11:00 am)
General audience
Animalopolis will take you on a voyage into the magical world of animals. A bit fanciful, a bit "Seussian" perhaps, a place of good natured humor, beauty and just plain fun for kids and their parents.

Animalopolis takes a lighthearted and imaginary look at a variety of animals including cheetahs that race like a Ferrari, bears that run their own fishing school, an operatic lion, sea lions turning somersaults, and much more.

With twelve hilarious segments, each featuring a different animal, Animalopolis will stimulate children's imaginations and curiosity about the creatures they're seeing, and remind us that nature provides humor and wonder, everywhere. For more info, visit the filmmaker's website at: www.animalopolisfilm.com.

Wild Chimpanzees (11:00 am)
General audience

Jane Goodall’s Wild Chimpanzees invites viewers to be among the few humans to venture into the jungle to see these creatures at close range. Chronicling Dr. Jane Goodall's more than 40 years of legendary work among the chimps at Gombe Park on Lake Tanganyka in Africa, the film provides a rare glimpse into the daily lives of the now famous Gombe chimp families. Experience the world of the chimpanzee as you have never seen it before.

This film follows Goodall’s return to the jungle in search of her now-famous subjects. Rare footage shows chimpanzees interacting in their community group – playing with one another and with their baboon neighbors, grooming, hunting, communicating, and using tools to find food – giving viewers an opportunity to wonder at the rich culture and complex social dynamics of chimpanzees’ incredible world. This footage is combined with archival footage of Goodall in her early years at Gombe to offer a comprehensive look at her ground-breaking research.
