The Orlando Science Center has Partnered with National Geographic Cinema Ventures!

One of the first museums to join this national effort, with this partnership the Science Center has special access to one of the world’s largest giant-screen film libraries that includes award-winning films in 2D and 3D digital formats.

In addition, National Geographic Cinema Ventures will produce or release two new titles each year, allowing the Science Center a first look at films in development and the opportunity to be among the first to release them. The Orlando Science Center is now the premiere location for National Geographic films in Central Florida.

Designed to take guests from the cutting edge of science to the depths of the imagination, the newly renovated 226-seat theater plays host to Educational Movies daily, as well as continuing Science Live! program favorites such as Kaboom! and High Voltage. With state-of-the-art 4K digital projection and 7.1 surround sound, the Digital Adventure Theater presents movies in 2D and 3D offering a fully immersive experience that is sure to please.

The Digital Adventure Theater is one of only a handful of theaters in the Orlando area that features a 4K resolution projection system – capable of producing an image nearly four times the quality of standard high definition. The Christie CP4220 DLP Digital Cinema Projector features Brilliant3D™ technology for high performance 3D, displaying every pixel as the director intended.
