Science Station

Scheduled Times on Level 4

The patient lies motionless in his hospital bed; his breathing is laboured and his pulse is racing. His temperature is taken as he coughs, and his vital signs flat line. This isn’t the scene of an emergency room, but an exhibit at Orlando Science Center, where guests examine SimMan, a life-sized patient simulator. SimMan can be found on Level 4 in Body Zone Studio during scheduled presentations.

SimMan is a state-of-the art piece of medical technology designed to allow real-life nurses and other healthcare professionals to train on SimMan, from giving injections to treating various vital sign changes. SimMan’s life-like capabilities are prime examples of tactile, hands-on learning that connect our audience to the most current technology available to our workforce.
