Orlando Science Center has developed exhibits that embody the essence of many STEM-related careers.
Several of our exhibits including Engineer It, the Pinewood Derby, Wind Tubes and the Gravitron allow visitors to use the engineering design cycle to ask a question, imagine a solution, plan it, create it and improve it. This challenge-based approach helps to build strong problem solving skills that will assist students across multiple subject areas.
Some of the careers highlighted in our exhibits and programming include meteorology, paleontology, mechanical engineering and geology. The process that many of the careers use to create and innovate is the engineering design cycle.
