Your Gift Truly Makes a Difference

Your generosity enables the Orlando Science Center to educate and inspire.  We bring families together in an environment that encourages learning. The Orlando Science Center is the highest attended cultural venue in the region averaging 300,000 guests per year. Over 70,000 students annually experience on and off-site STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) based educational initiatives. The Science Center is a proven educational community resource that provides hands on interactive learning experiences.

Admissions and memberships provide about 65 cents of every dollar needed;
Government appropriations provide about 16 cents of every dollar needed:

  • To provide access to the Orlando Science Center at a reasonable admission price.
  • To ensure all families have access to the Science Center regardless of ability to pay.
  • To bring and maintain state of the art exhibits at the Science Center.

The rest is up to the generosity of supporters, like you!

Please make a gift to the Orlando Science Center today. There are a variety of ways that you can be part of the mission to inspire science learning for life.

Double Your Impact Today!

You can make a difference for New KidsTown.

We are the Orlando Science Center and we’re in the imagination business. Children are our best customers. And business has been good.

For over 60 years, the Science Center has been a destination for inspiring curiosity and building stronger families. During that time, we’ve have seen a lot of changes.

The one thing that hasn’t changed is our steadfast dedication to creating the next generation of innovators and problem solvers.

Today the Science Center is looking back at all the amazing gifts that made us who we are today – the only museum in Central Florida reaching half a million people each year. Your support means everything to us. Thank you.

You were the kids that were inspired by experiences within our walls. Dreams took flight and inspired you to push further, learn more, try harder. Or you are the parents that view us as a haven for family togetherness in an increasingly busy world. The Science Center is more than a place, but a trusted friend and advisor that helps you grow as your child’s first teacher.

The Science Center continues to grow and our next big project is New KidsTown, a launching pad for new dreams, an oasis for young families, and a place to mentor tomorrow’s parents.

The only thing missing is you.

We are very close to our goal for this project and until August 31, every gift made to New KidsTown will be matched dollar for dollar by the Science Center board of trustees, up to $50,000.

New KidsTown will be bigger, better, and bolder with state of the art exhibits and experiences crafted by early childhood learning experts. It will become the number one stop for families in Central Florida.

Your gift today can be the key to unlock the potential of young minds for years to come.

The future is waiting.

The event is an opportunity to celebrate the Science Center's role as a vital community resource that ignites the spark for tomorrow's leaders in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The event included several notable speakers, including Shiv Gaglani and Dr. Sandy Shugart.

Shiv Gaglani, an MD/MBA candidate at the John Hopkins School of Medicine and Harvard Business School, is passionate about medical and educational innovation, having co-founded two accelerator-backed startups; one in education called Osmosis, and the other in medicine called Smartphone Physical. Gaglani is also a three-time winner of the Dr. Nelson Ying Science Competition here at Orlando Science Center!

Dr. Sandy Shugart, president of Valencia Community College since January, 2000, also spoke at Inspire Science Breakfast. For more than a decade, Dr. Shugart has led the college in a process of deep change designed to put student learning first and achieve quantum improvements in completion. He is also the winner of the 2011 inaugural Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence; an award that named Valencia College the nation's top community college.
