Walmart and the Walmart Foundation have a strong commitment to serving local communities and promoting educational learning. In 2008 alone, Walmart and its Foundations gave more than $66 million to fund educational opportunities across the country. Orlando Science Center is proud to be a part of this strong commitment by having Walmart $5 Day.

Walmart $5 Day makes it possible for the Central Florida community to visit the Orlando Science Center, and inspire science learning for life at a significant discount. Admission to the Science Center is cut down from the original $19.00 for adults and $13.00 for children (ages 3-12) to $5.00 for one day only. Guest will be able to enjoy all of the exhibits, live programs and giant-screen films OSC offers. This amazing opportunity is made possible by the charitable contribution of the Walmart Foundation. In 2009, Walmart gave $92 million to communities around the nation.

Aside from educational outreach, the Walmart Foundation also focuses efforts in workforce development, economic opportunity, health and wellness and environmental sustainability. In 2008, FORBES magazine recognize the company as the “number one most generous company overall.” They are always creating opportunities so people can live better.

Parking is available in the Orlando Science Center Parking Garage located directly across the street from the Science Center for $5 per vehicle.
