Ho ho ho! It’s Holiday Science Month at Orlando Science Center! What’s new this month? December will feature holiday crafts and activities for you to make and share with your loved ones. Create instant snow, tinker with holiday light circuit boards, and enjoy other fun holiday-themed experiments in Dr. Dare’s Laboratory! Join us in New KidsTown for holiday stories and make some festive decorations you can take home!

Holiday Movies

Orlando Science Center has added some holiday films to the schedule in addition to our educational giant-screen or 3D films. Plan your visit before you attend and check out our theater schedule here.

Learn a little more about our place in outer space at the Crosby Observatory and check out a stellar movie in the Digital Adventure Theater before or after! Remember that observing outer space requires good weather here on Earth.

Bank of America Museums on Us Weekend

Saturday & Sunday, Dec. 3 & 4
On the first full weekend of every month, Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders enjoy free admission to Orlando Science Center! Cardholders will also receive 10 percent off on membership if they purchase on these two days. Free admission applies to the cardholder only and does not include guests.

Santa’s Christmas Workshop

K-8 Homeschool Program

Open Wednesdays

Typically Orlando Science Center is only open the first Wednesday of every month during the school year but will be open to the public on Wednesdays over winter break!

Young Maker Workshop

Saturday & Sunday, Dec. 10 & 11
This December, Young Makers will have an electric time getting into the festive spirit. As they make their own hanging holiday decorations, Young Makers will also learn about the circuits that make their decorations glow.

Member Monday

Monday, Dec. 12
Join us for a special Member Monday when that reindeer with his nose so bright returns to Orlando Science Center! Rudolph will be here from 9–10 a.m. so you can snap a selfie for your holiday card and do fun holiday-themed activities in KidsTown! Not a Member yet but would like to join us? Family Game Day

Saturday, Dec. 17
The Orlando Science Center with participation from Cool Stuff Games and the Winter Park Board Game Exchange will host a Family Board Game Day.  Guests will be able to explore the Toytopia exhibit, which features games and toys from the last century and then they can play some of these classic games.  Play with some of your old favorite board games, and learn a new one with some new friends!

Holiday Laser Show

Dec. 19-23, 26-31 & Jan. 2-8
Join us in the Dr. Phillips CineDome at 2 p.m. on select days for some holiday cheer! Light and sound merge for a particularly merry experience that you won’t want to miss!

School Break Camps

Monday – Friday, Dec. 19-23
Preschoolers will go on a whimsical adventure into the world of problem solving and sharing with author Jan Brett. K-2 will explore New KidsTown and play to learn! Grades 3-6: get ready to design, test, create and run your own arcade –out of cardboard! Learn more.

Closed for Christmas Holiday

Dec. 24-25
Orlando Science Center will be closed for the Christmas Holiday, but we will come back Dec. 26 ready to inspire curiosity and exploration!

School Break Camps

Monday – Friday, Dec. 26 and 30
Preschoolers will use their five senses and dive into the world of solving mysteries! K-2 will learn how to make their furry friends feel better when they are sick in the all new Animal Doctors. For the first time, grades 3-6 will investigate what makes bugs such a diverse class of creatures in Expedition Bugs! Register today!

Otronicon Ticket Sale

Toytopia’s Final Week
