During the month of June, discover demos, activities, and experiments that dive into our physical, psychological and social identities. June 3 marks the opening of Identity: An Exhibition of You, our new traveling exhibit that explores what makes us similar and what makes us unique.

 

Bank of America Museums on Us Weekend

Saturday & Sunday, June 3 & 4

On the first full weekend of every month, Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders enjoy free admission to Orlando Science Center. Cardholders will also receive 10 percent off a membership if they purchase on these two days. These deals apply to the cardholder only and do not include guests. Identity: An Exhibition of You Opens

Saturday, June 3

This summer, we are excited to unveil our latest traveling exhibit Identity: An Exhibition of You. Opening Saturday, June 3, Identity is a three-part interactive experience that explores the science of our similarities and how they relate to our unique identities. In the age of the “selfie,” this new exhibit helps to answer the question “How well do you really know yourself?” by diving into your physical, psychological and social identities.

 

Science Night Live! (21+ only)

8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3

Join us for a night of science and socializing at Orlando Science Center! Gain late night access to many of our facilities and exhibits, science trivia and a special presentation from Dr. Anne Savage, Conservation Director for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Also enjoy samplings from 15 craft breweries and food from Hard Rock Cafe Orlando. Tickets are limited and available online only.

 

Extended Hours Begin

5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 9

Orlando Science Center will be open until 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, June 9 – August 12. Enjoy all of our exhibits with smaller crowds, plus special events when the sun goes down. You will be able to watch a laser light show in the Dr. Phillips CineDome, catch a feature Hollywood film in the Digital Adventure Theater, or take a look at something out of this world in the Crosby Observatory (weather permitting). Everything is included with general admission!

 

Young Maker Workshops

11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., & 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10 & Sunday, June 11

Personalized Cardboard Automata

Make your own moving cardboard automata by creating cams, levers and gears out of various cardboard shapes.

This workshop is recommended for guests ages 8 and up. Guests under 12 must bring an adult. Workshops last 45 to 60 minutes  and space is limited. Admittance is on a first come, first served basis.

 

Satellite Summer Camps Begin in Seminole County

Monday, June 12

Children in grades K-4 can enjoy the Orlando Science Center summer camp experience at our new Seminole County location. These week-long camps run in June and July and feature a variety of topics to keep your child learning all summer long. From solving equations with LEGOs to exploring the exciting career field of medicine, our satellite camps offer something for everyone. Register your child today!

 

Member Monday: Animal Edition

9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, June 12

The animal edition of Member Monday is back my popular demand! Animal Ambassadors from the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens will be bring furry and scaly friends for you to meet from all over the world. OSC members have access to this event and facilities an hour before Orlando Science Center is open to the public. Become a Member today!

 

Superhero Week

Tuesday through Sunday, June 15-18

KidsTown is transforming into a superhero metropolis! Children are invited to test their superpowers and train in our daring obstacle course. Your little hero will be able to design their own super suit and participate in the Superhero Olympics. We have plenty of fun and adventure waiting to be discovered!
