Join us on a journey in July when we discover our favorite prehistoric creatures…the dinosaurs! Featured activities include fossil making, dig pit excavations, dinosaur demos, and special presentations in DinoDigs throughout the month.

Fourth of July Celebration
Tuesday, July 4
We are combining science and history as we celebrate this year’s Fourth of July! Guests will be able to conduct their experiments with electricity like Benjamin Franklin, learn to sew like Betsy Ross, and make their own ink and quill from scratch. This event is intended to be a fun and safe addition to your holiday plans. There will not be fireworks, but there are plenty of fun activities to be discovered.
Young Maker Workshops: Bookbinding
Saturday and Sunday, July 8 & 9
Learn the basics of bookbinding as you design and make your very own field notebook! Recommended for ages 8 and up.
Solar Eclipse Stamp Unveiling
1 p.m. Thursday, July 13
To commemorate the upcoming total solar eclipse, the United States Postal Service has issued a special Total Eclipse of the Sun postage stamp, and Orlando Science Center will unveil this stamp at an informal presentation. After the stamp is presented, stick around for more space-centered fun at the Science Center. Catch an eclipse presentation at Science on a Sphere, visit the Our Planet exhibit, and more!
Saturday, July 22
Calling all amateur paleontologists! Grab your shovels and brushes as we uncover the secrets of the past though hands on activities, cretaceous-themed crafts, and fossil talks. Get ready to dance with the dinos and celebrate your favorite prehistoric megafauna, from Pachycephalosaurus to Paraceratherium!
