What’s New at OSC

Learn how everyday people can get involved in citizen science projects. The Science Center will showcase local experiments and science projects all month long. Meet local scientists and learn about their amazing research projects during our Citizen Science Showcase.

 

Traveling Exhibit: Mindbender Mansion

Open now through May 13
Enter the wonderfully puzzling world of Mindbender Mansion! This eclectic exhibit that takes the concept of brainteasers to a dizzying new level with interactive challenges guaranteed to test the brain power and problem-solving skills of even the most experienced puzzlers!

 

Homeschool Program

Monday, April 2
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Join us monthly during the school year for a hands-on STEM workshop for homeschooled students, designed for your student’s grade level. The program also includes an educational film and time to explore our exhibit halls. Advance registration is recommended to secure your place.

 

Bank of America Museums on Us Weekend

Saturday and Sunday, April 7 & 8
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On the first full weekend of every month, Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders enjoy free admission to Orlando Science Center. Cardholders will also receive 10 percent off a membership if they purchase on these two days. These deals apply to the cardholder only and do not include guests or children.

Pint-Sized Science Drop-Off Program: Deep Blue Sea

Friday, April 13
9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Pint-Sized Science is a drop-off program designed for children ages 3-5 to explore science with their friends. During this three-hour program, they will discover and learn about a range of science topics, from bubbles to physics to machines and more! They will be guided through simple lessons accompanied by hands-on activities and science-infused play. Registration required.

 

 

Solar Viewing

Saturday, April 14
3 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

Head up to the Crosby Observatory and get a more in-depth look at the closest star to the Earth — our sun! After checking out the sun, learn about the telescopes that let us explore the solar system. Please remember that observing outer space requires good weather here on Earth.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Join Orlando Science Center for a special opportunity to engage in science learning and fun for a discounted price! Limited tickets are available for the discounted $10 Day! Tickets can sell out in advance, so be sure to purchase yours online to ensure you don’t miss out! Normal general admission fees are $20.95 for adults and $14.95 for youth (ages 3-11), which means $10 Day patrons will enjoy up to more than 50% savings per ticket.

These 60-minute workshops are designed for children 18 to 36 months with an accompanying adult. We will actively explore diverse topics in science through hands-on science activities, experiments, songs, movement and more. Come join us in this unique opportunity for you and your toddler to learn and grow together as you explore the wonders of the science world! Registration required.

These 60-minute workshops are designed for children 3-5 years with an accompanying adult. Science of Wine

Saturday, April 28
7 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

Uncork your inner sommelier, and scientist, at the 8th annual Science of Wine presented by Southern Glazer’s Wines and Spirits.  The Science of Wine is not just another wine tasting, but an oenological odyssey with presentations on multiple aspects of wine growing and wine tasting as well as the opportunity to sample more than 150 fine wines from the world’s most important wine regions and some of the best food from your favorite region, Central Florida! Wine Seminar and Cooking Demo tickets are available at an additional $20 per seat.
