There is always something new at the Orlando Science Center!  Whether it is a new show, hands-on demonstration, or themed activity there is lots to see and do during your visit. Every month we feature a new theme to highlight from space to bugs to engineering.  On select special event days, we feature unique activities that delve into the fun, gross, and investigative side of various science topics.


Featured Experiences: February 2017

This month, the Orlando Science Center take a closer look at engineers. Engineers invent, innovate, design, build, maintain, and improve everything from systems to buildings to machines. Read below for special engineering activities this month!

Young Maker Workshop

Feb. 11-12

In honor of Engineering Month, young makers will be learning about hydraulics and how they work in bridges. Guests will have a chance to design, build, and operate their own draw bridges on a miniature scale. All supplies are provided, and seating is first come, first served, so arrive early!


Engineering Week

Feb. 18-25

This week, guests get to try their hand at being an engineer as the Science Center offers special demos, and on Saturday and Sunday, engineering experiments in Dr. Dare’s Lab and STEM challenges throughout the building.


Engineering Day!

Feb. 25

On Saturday, February 25, we’ll have real engineers for guests to meet, learn from, and maybe even see some of the projects they work on!
